New Music! Radiohead – “Burn the Witch”

Sound the alarms! We have new Radiohead, ladies and gentlemen. This is not a drill; I repeat, this is not a drill.

The band has been teasing new music for a while now, and new song “Burn the Witch” is a lot of fun. Watch below:

Great, right? Dig those strings! I liked 2011’s The King of Limbs more than most seemed to, but my initial thought is people who weren’t quite as fond of that album may really dig this track.

Thematically, the song reminds me of the chaos and paranoia of 2003’s Hail to the Thief in a lot of ways. There’s references to shadows, gallows, the abandonment of reason, shooting messengers, and so on.

And the video looks like Moral Orel meets The Wicker Man meets with a bit of that crazy “SHAME!” lady from Game of Thrones mixed in for good measure.

Stay tuned … for all we know, the new Radiohead LP will drop tonight. Or it’ll never drop, and we’ll all be sad forever and ever.
